What is…….It?

                 The daily grind of life… For some it is enriching, for many it is truly a grind. Generation after generation of humanity has lived out it’s life, reaching for personal aspirations, desiring so much, and yet seeming to achieve not quite what was expected. How dreary our day can become. And yet there is a feeling, something is just out of reach….

             Yes there are days of excitement and joy, But they become fleeting moments. And then one day you wonder, what is next? Where are all of the things I hoped for? Yes I am happy with so much, and yet there is a longing, a wondering, and for what? What is this feeling, this drive to find what ever this “something” is that is missing. It’s just out of reach.

             Why do so many people feel this longing? Something is just out of reach. There seems to be a commonality to it. But what is…. IT?

            

             Why is there a common desire that arises in everyone's life at some point where they wonder about such things? Since so many experience it is it engrained in our bodies? Is it something that is set to go off due to our DNA?

             Often we hear that mankind is preprogrammed for certain tasks, Finding food, finding a mate, procreation, sleep, walking, crawling. Preprogrammed. Instinct. An instant reaction that comes without thinking about it. Fight or flight. Is the “IT” preprogrammed?

             Preprogrammed….

 

             Computers are programmed. There are groups of people around the world that deal specifically with programming, All day sitting in front of a computer screen, looking at and manipulating lines of…...code.     They encode programs all day….. Preprogramming requires code, without the code programming could not take place.

             How strange that the terms, being programmed and preprogrammed should be attributed to the organic structure of living beings.

             Lions are programmed to kill for food, Fish are programmed to swim. Viruses are encoded to infect and organism. Birds are programmed to fly. But where does it come from? Instinct we are told is managed through our most basic of structures, deeper then  skin, then muscle, then bone and sinew, Deeper then the individual cells that make up our physical forms. Lower then the nuclei of the cells, into the very strands of DNA present all through every cell in our bodies.

             Much that we do, is preprogrammed before we are born. The switches turn on and off in our systems, telling our bodies what to do and when to do it. When to form hands and feet, when to form eyes, what color our hair and eyes will be. Whether we are male or female.

             Is the “It” a part of this preprogramming? Do we reach a certain point, and a switch is flipped, and we suddenly become aware? That we wonder, isn’t there more?

 

             Programming….. Programming requires a programmer. Can a computer form a line of code from a power surge? No. It does require a programmer.

             If our genetic make up is like a series of lines of code, that activates or deactivates certain operations, then how did that code come to be? How did that code become inserted into the organic materials that we are all made up of? It couldn’t have been a flash of lightning. How could an electrical current create a random code that suddenly worked?

             If the needed base materials of a computer were placed in a pile, soaked with water and electricity were run through it, could it create a simple functioning circuit? And could that circuit reproduce itself? No, piles of silicon, and copper, and gold, and silver could never assemble into a working entity, not a computer, not a radio, not a telegraph key, not even a simple swing switch. Much less an insulated wire.

             No, an outside source is required, a designer, someone that knows how to manipulate the ingredients, turn them into useable forms, design the layout, and the function of the item ahead of time, so that it achieves a chosen task. Someone designed the form and function of a screwdriver, a screw, a nail and hammer, a blender, an orange peeler. An automobile, or even a computer.

 

             Comparing the coding of animals, and of people, Each form is reprogrammed to do a certain task. Carnivores hunt the herbivores, plants feed the herbivores, It’s all tied together. It’s programming. But if it is programming, and programming requires a programmer……

 

             I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

             My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

             Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

 

             Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?

             Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.

 

             Maybe there is more to this life, maybe the ancients left us record of it, maybe we have lost the knowledge we once knew. What more is there? What are we not seeing or who? Like an alternate time line, in a temporal parallel, The programmer sits, outside of time, watching, waiting, reaching out to his creation. His creation that has run amok, like a car without a driver.

 

Isa 5:25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

 

             You can reach out for His hand, you can know what more there is in life. Why are we programmed in this way? Make contact with the programmer, the one who created you, who developed the coding in your DNA. Who manipulated the substance needed to create you.

             This creator made a way for you to be able to enjoy his presence in your life, We are separated from our creator, because of our resistance to his programming framework, because of our, sin.

 

             Renewal is achievable, Through God’s plan, through the spilled blood of his son, who chose to be born, live, teach and die, in our place, so we would not have to suffer the pain and death our programmer suffered for us, our own ultimate fate programmed into our existence, eternity in tormented flame.

 

             When we dispose of our belongings that no longer function, they are burned, to return them to ash. When our creators rebellious, and no longer functioning creation rejects him, the ultimate end is fire, and eternal flame. Why spend an eternity in pain and suffering, when you can experience the joys and rewards of following the creator, in his ultimate rewarding plan for those who trust in him? No lottery ticket, or slot machine can supply the eternal security of God’s incredible gifts. Joy and celebration, that will put the biggest earthly party to shame.

 

             Do you feel alone, do you sense there is more in life then what you see day in and day out? Maybe a change in direction is needed, more then just a vacation, how about changing everything in your life, and doing something different…...

 

              Ac 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

 Ro 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

              Re 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

 

Experience peace, comfort, and a new inner strength, supplied from your programmer, God wants you to be close to him, he desires your attention.

 

 Mt 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Who was the programmer?
