Special note |
As the owner of this we site, I like to take note of certain things that can be found in God’s word, I am in no way a scholar, just an average everyday Christian, but in my own studies I find interesting little tidbits that I find intriguing. For instance…
Jesus had many disciples by this time, that may have numbered into the hundreds, but out of this vast number he chose twelve, these twelve men would become the foundation of his earthly ministry, the Church. Below are links to other pages in the web site, that cover this account, I find it interesting that Jesus instructed these twelve men, one on one, correcting them, and instructing them, these men were by no means anything more special then anyone else, their previous vocations speak volumes about that fact. After a short time of teaching he gives them command to go out on their first “adventure” in preaching and healing of the sick. For many years I was afraid to go our on our church visitation time, because I was frightened of the possible reactions of the people we would see, But here we find that we are no better or worse then the apostles, They just did what Jesus said to do, because they cared for him, and wanted to make him happy! |
