A note from the web site administrator: The Galatians were confusing the concept of Salvation by God’s grace, with the incorrect belief of Salvation by works of the law. They had lost sight of the fact that Salvation is a gift of God given though faith, and wanted to tie salvation to doing good works. Good works should be an outpouring of the faith in Christ, not the means of salvation. In other words, good works should be a natural desire of the saved person. Good works are not the way a person gets saved! |
